Alain's backstory features incestuous feelings for his younger sister, Germaine (1stpersonsingular), that are acted upon (forced intimacy and kissing), but never consummated. These feelings make him control all financial and most practical aspects of her life in an unhealthy way and their relationship is generally abusive (emotionally).
